Credentials

Advanced University Degrees & Academic Studies

Mr. Noto received his Master of Arts in Communication from The Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and received  his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (with a focus  on Mass Communication) at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.  He also studies at  Stanford University in Palo Alto at the Summer Film & Broadcasting Institute.  

Barton College Curriculum and Courses

Blaise J. Noto is Assistant Professor of Communication in the Mass Communications Department at The School of Visual, Performing  and Communication Arts, joining as full-time faculty in August, 2016.  He previously taught at Barton College as an Adjunct Professor beginning Fall semester 2014.  Prior, he taught as an Adjunct at UNC School of the Arts, and at William Peace University.  He was invited by the Chinese government to teach a two -week  PR and marketing class at the prestigious Beijing Film Academy. 

Teaching Philosophy

Mr. Noto's teaching philosophy integrates his Ivy League education and interdisciplinary studies in sociology, psychology, anthropology, and the humanities with media, mass communications. and visual communications (art, film and photography).   He fuses his 35+ years of practical, professional experience as a successful high-level executive in PR and marketing, and with his world travels,  multi-cultural, and critical thinking approach to academia brining  a varied and dynamic perspective to his students.  

Barton Committees, Pedagogy & Research

Committed to pedagogy and being an active contributing member of the Barton College faculty, Mr. Noto is deeply involved in and committing to serving on important college committees, and involvement in student learning experiences in and outside the classroom.
